Flute Types
In corrugated packaging, the flute is the wavy, fluted layer sandwiched between two flat linerboards.
A-Flute
The thickest flute offers strong cushioning and stacking strength.
B-Flute
Thinner, with a flatter surface ideal for printing and die-cutting.
C-Flute
Most common, balances strength, cushioning, and printability.
E-Flute
Thin flute for smaller boxes needing a smooth surface and detailed printing.
F-Flute
The thinnest flute, perfect for very small or delicate items.
Wall Types
Corrugated packages are made with different wall types to suit various packaging needs.
Single Wall
One fluted (wavy) layer between two flat paperboard layers. They are lightweight, cost-effective, and provide basic protection. Ideal for shipping everyday items like shoes, toys, and kitchen utensils.
Double Wall
Two fluted layers are separated by a linerboard, giving extra strength and durability. They provide better cushioning and protection, making them ideal for heavier or fragile items during shipping.
Triple Wall
